Edward Whittingham

Edward is a leading voice in online security. Since founding The Defence Works, Edward has been heavily involved with all aspects of cyber-security, specialising in human behaviour, and is frequently asked to present publicly and speak at events.

Pre The Defence Works, Edward joined the police in 2004, serving as a Police Officer at just 18, where he gained extensive experience of front-line policing, serious and organised crime investigation and cybercrime. Edward then studied law, achieving a Masters before joining international law firm, Addleshaw Goddard, in 2013, where he specialised in fraud and corporate crime.

Since just 18, I’ve been hugely passionate about helping people and organisations combat cyber-crime, so I am beyond proud to drive The Defence Works forward and I recognise that a large part of this is ensuring our audience receive informed, impartial and useful input to help minimise their risk.
